The successful candidate will be a qualified carpenter with a minimum of National / NZ Certificate in Carpentry or equivalent qualification and ideally ten (10) years current industry experience. It would be a strong advantage if you were a LBP and also held the NZ Certificate in Adult Literacy & Numeracy Education (NZCALNE), the NZ Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (NZCAT) or equivalent and unit 4098 workbased assessor, however these are not a requirement.This position, based at Freyberg High School in Palmerston North, will require you to be hands on, facilitating one on one learning, mentoring, motivating and working with students individually, so your well-tuned rapport and communication skills will be required. As well as working with a dynamic team you will have the full support of the Academic Portfolio Manager with all delivery resources and practical assessments fully developed.
