- Designing, implementing, and managing groundwater monitoring and investigation programmes.
- Providing technical advice and expert analysis to decision-makers, stakeholders, and community groups.
- Contributing to strategies that address natural hazards, climate change, and environmental sustainability.
- Building partnerships with research providers, tangata whenua, industry associations, and local/national government agencies.
- Translating complex scientific findings into clear, practical advice for diverse audiences.
- Postgraduate qualification (MSc or PhD) in a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in groundwater or related environmental science.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and resource management frameworks.
- Proven ability with data analysis, GIS, modelling, and scientific reporting.
- Exceptional communication skills with experience engaging iwi, community, and professional stakeholders.
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working in partnership with mana whenua.
- A current driver's licence and the ability to undertake field-based work.
- 37.5-hour work week with flexible working arrangements.
