We're excited to say we have a rare opportunity for a highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong focus on remediation and exception reporting particularly within the insurance or banking sectors to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is critical in supporting our 'Stop Harm' customer remediation initiatives, ensuring risks and breaches are identified, documented, and addressed through accurate, auditable exception reporting.In this role, you'll work with business SMEs to understand remediation rules, exception criteria, and impacted customer scenarios. You'll lead workshops to gather and refine business requirements, documenting clearly to support business needs.Collaborating with Data Analysts, you'll guarantee accurate translation of business rules into report logic and support validation through stakeholder reviews. You'll maintain traceability across remediation scenarios, rules, and data logic, while also updating knowledge pages, BAU documentation, and contributing to RAID logs and decision tracking to ensure audit readiness.To shine in the role, we're looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a large financial, insurance or professional services business as a Business Analyst, with previous experience working on a remediation project
- Strong skills in documenting business requirements and translating them into structured formats consumable by technical and non-technical teams
- Proven facilitation experience running workshops and working sessions with business and technical stakeholders
- Confident in being able to collaboratively work with and where needed, coach or mentor junior Business Analysts within the team
- Ability to understand and interrogate data logic at a high level and communicate effectively with Data Analysts
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, particularly in regulated industries
- Working knowledge of exception reporting and remediation frameworks is highly desirable
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent documentation and collaboration tools
- Ability to write clearly and succinctly, with a focus on traceability and audit readiness
- Familiarity with insurance or banking domains is preferred
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with an ability to work independently under tight timelines
- A strong work ethic with a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven skills in adaptability and resilience, with a solution focused mindset
