Across the generations, the sport brings families and communities together, while our Vantage Black Sticks inspire New Zealanders throughout the motu.We are on a mission to grow, inspire and enrich our hockey whānau so more kiwis can see, experience, and fall in love with our great sport and this role will play a pivotal role and helping us achieve our ambitious goals.About the RoleYou will be responsible for leading, developing and implementing the commercial and marketing strategy across Hockey New Zealand, overseeing marketing campaigns to amplify our game and fostering existing and new partnerships to drive growth in commercial revenues and exposure for our sport.You will be the face of the innovative new Premier Hockey League from, leading and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the League exceeds the aspirations of our community, our partners, and our athletes.You will lead the management and retention of HNZ's existing commercial partnerships through the development of creative leverage opportunities that maximise the value and reach for partners and Hockey New Zealand as well as taking an open and innovative approach to identifying and securing new opportunities within New Zealand, and internationally.You will develop and manage relationships with commercial partners, to ensure renewals are secured and ensure that their contractual requirements are being fulfilled and standards exceeded. Alongside our CEO, you will also lead our broadcast strategy (domestic and off shore) which will maximise the reach and value of HNZ content.You will leverage existing relationships within the media and sporting landscape to amplify our sport and our stories, while providing leadership support to the Marketing and Commercial team in the development and delivery of an integrated strategy that leverages all mediums and ensures all HNZ's brands, partners and products are positioned for success.About YouSenior experience in the development of commercial strategy, driving profitable innovation, leading people and partnership development.·Proven experience in leading marketing and communications initiatives which have successfully increased brand or product exposure and coverage.Experience with developing and implementing successful commercial partner servicing plans and budgets plus proven capability in contractual rights delivery.Ability to set a strategy to build the platform and culture for sustainable growth long term which delivers against bottom line numbers.Outstanding relationship / stakeholder management skills and ability to navigate complexity and manage multiple agendas.A leadership style that focuses on clear direction and building a strong effective team committed to achieving agreed objectives.In-depth understanding of the domestic and international business and sports market.If you are interested in this position, please submit your application via the Seek website.
