- Oversee on-site construction activities and coordinate day-to-day operations.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and regulations.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams to drive construction progress.
- Monitor project milestones and report on performance, risks, costs and productivity.
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are strictly followed.
- Troubleshoot engineering and construction challenges as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to project documentation and reporting.
- Work with overseas suppliers to plan, define interfaces, and manage detailed installation of complex electrically driven mechanical equipment.
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field, supported by proven engineering experience.
- Extensive track record managing complex construction projects valued between $20M and $50M.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical equipment installation, civil works, and integrated control systems.
- Demonstrated experience administering NZS 3910/3916 contracts with lump sum project delivery.
- Solid understanding of the South Island construction market dynamics and key stakeholders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand construction standards and regulatory codes.
- Proficient in using construction management software such as MS Project and AutoCAD.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with project teams.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Hold a current NZ driver’s licence.
