About the Ōtaki to North Levin Project:The Ōtaki to North Levin project focuses on upgrading the transport link along State Highway 1 (SH1) between Ōtaki and North Levin to improve road safety, reduce congestion, enhance travel efficiency, and support regional economic growth.In partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga, and the Horowhenua District Council, this project will be executed through a two-alliance approach. Each alliance will be responsible for delivering a section of the road and associated works, ensuring a collaborative and comprehensive delivery.This exciting new four-lane 24.8km highway project will dramatically improve safety and resilience, providing better access to walking and cycling facilities for those moving around or through the Horowhenua and Kāpiti districts. The project includes multiple large complex bridge structures plus a full interchange at Taraua Road, a half interchange north at Taylors Road, two roundabouts and approximately 4m m3 of complex earthworks significant, drainage infrastructure and a structural asphalt concrete pavement.This role is supporting the North Alliance (delivered by partners Fulton Hogan, HEB Construction, WSP and Aurecon)The Role:As a BIM Coordinator you'll be responsible for developing and coordinate BIM models, working closely with design, construction and survey to interpret designs models and drawings, and producing accurate models for our project teams. This role will ideally be in Levin and is a permanent, full-time position with guaranteed 40 hours a week.Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and enabling setup of BIM on project, interfacing with design consultants (partners), construction and Survey team.
  • Providing specialist support for digital tools to support project phase.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to grow and advance HEB's BIM and Digital capability.
  • Collaborating with project support services such as Project Controls, Design, Survey and Construction
About You:To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • Minimum 1+ years in BIM implementation, preferably within infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with Civil 3D or OpenRoads (must)
  • Navisworks experience
  • Experience in Revit (advantageous)
  • Detailed knowledge of model-based design (BIM) protocols, standards, and workflows.
  • Experience with BIM and data management systems such as ACC.
  • Good knowledge of Power BI or similar analytics/reporting tools (advantageous).
  • Previous experience in infrastructure or complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to manage your own workload, deliver to deadlines, and respond to project team needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across project teams.
  • Clear communication skills with strong attention to detail.
