Child, Women and Family DivisionAre you an experienced Social Worker with knowledge of Women’s Health and looking for the right professional development opportunity to take up a leadership role?Then we have just the position!This Clinical Leader role will be paired with available Social Work hours within our service, with the option therefore of creating a full time position. The role will work alongside another Clinical Lead for Social Work (Child Health) thus allowing opportunity for professional support and cross cover. These roles work across both North Shore and Waitakere hospital sites.As the Clinical Leader you will:
  • Lead the development of Professional Practice Standards for Social Workers within Maternity and Child Health services as supported by research evidence
  • Work collaboratively with the Service Managers and Professional and Clinical Leaders to assist with the operational delivery of strategic initiatives and quality improvements across inpatient and community settings
  • Work closely with the respective clinical services, Team Leaders and Charge Nurse Managers to understand and support models of care and the allied health service volumes that are expected and/or planned
  • Support frontline staff to provide optimum standards of practice which demonstrates patient, family/whānau-centred care
  • Be joining a leadership team who values collaborative and supportive environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 5 years professional/clinical experience with proven leadership and relationship management skills. You will hold a post graduate qualification or be on the pathway to achieving this, and at least two years’ experience providing clinical supervision mentorship or coaching.
