Some key responsibilities will include:Welding repairs to damaged trailers requiring service MIG/TIG working in all positionsMechanical servicing & breakdown repairsProvide 24-hour, 7-day breakdown call-out on a roster basisTroubleshoot mechanical failures to assess repair work needs for customersEngineering tasks such as:MachiningElectrical diagnosisEngine servicingChecking and adjusting brakes on heavy transport equipmentOther: general engineering servicing needs for Hammar side loadersBrake, axle, and suspension repairsHydraulic repairs:Fitting and removal of hydraulic rams from trailersRepairs and maintenance on damaged/faulty hydraulic equipmentSeal replacement in valves and ramsTo be successful in this role you will also have:A minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experienceThe ability to read & interpret electrical & hydraulic drawings (advantageous)A responsible attitude to workplace safety while carrying out tasks & maintaining the workplace environmentAn awesome work ethic & attitudeHammar NZ are looking for someone with a great sense of humour who will contribute to a positive, safe and productive work environment.This is a great career opportunity that doesn't come around often and we want to hear from you!
