
Senior Civil Project Manager – Christchurch

- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against milestones, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex civil and infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Experience working in New Zealand’s civil engineering industry and familiarity with local regulations and standards is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) would be an advantage.
