Senior Civil Project Manager – ChristchurchAre you an experienced Senior Civil Project Manager looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity in the vibrant city of Christchurch? We are seeking an experienced individual to join our dynamic team as a Senior Civil Project Manager. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of heavy civil projects, contributing to the growth and success of our company while making a significant impact on the infrastructure of Christchurch and the South Island.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against milestones, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex civil and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Experience working in New Zealand’s civil engineering industry and familiarity with local regulations and standards is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) would be an advantage.
