We are a team of over 60 civil engineers, project managers and construction management professionals who work across a range of transformative infrastructure projects across Aotearoa, Australia and the Pacific. We provide civil engineering expertise to projects across almost all the key market segments Beca operates in - urban redevelopment/ streetscape upgrades, land development, roading and highways, industrial, buildings, water, power, ports, airports and rail. No two days are the same with the variety of projects, geographies and clients we get to work across, and the opportunities for personal and professional growth are endless. With a strong pipeline of work ahead and increasing opportunities in the market, we are seeking to add a few key pieces to our team to support our ongoing delivery and growth.Mōu ake | About you
Your passion, design and problem-solving mindset will be matched with a desire to work on meaningful and significant projects in a multidisciplinary business. You will also:
  • Have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering with proven experience in a consulting environment working on the design and delivery of infrastructure projects. You may be an intermediate engineer wanting to make the step to Senior, or be operating at a Senior level already and looking for a change.
  • Have a broad civil engineering 'generalist' skillset - with experience working on the planning, design and construction phase support of a variety of different types of projects. You will be familiar with relevant local standards, consenting and regulatory approval processes for infrastructure projects.
  • Have experience using civil design and modelling packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Open Roads Designer, or 12D.
  • Bring a 'can do' attitude and enjoy working collaboratively in teams.
  • Be passionate about developing yourself, learning from others and supporting the development of our junior team members.
  • Have experience managing commercials on projects and working directly with clients day to day
  • Be a self-starter - proactive and motivated to deliver great solutions for your clients.
  • Have obtained relevant professional registration (CPEng or equivalent) or be actively working towards applying within the next 6-12 months.
We would love to know if you have worked on projects involving utilities, site development, or land transport. We are also interested if you have had experience working on projects in Australia or the Pacific.
