Do you have experience in accounts receivable processes and do you consider yourself a administrative whiz?We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our busy team which sits within the Finance Shared Transaction Centre.The role will see you work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all types of accounts receivable transactions are effectively and efficiently managed. We need you to have exceptional attention to detail and problem solving abilities. You will also need to manage multiple systems and procedures.Your responsibilities will involve:
  • Proactively interpret and analyse stakeholder requests and provide expert advice to ensure compliance with university policies and to achieve positive outcomes
  • Manage customer setup and maintenance, ensuring invoice requests and credit notes are processed accurately and reconciled efficiently
  • Provide expert advice and resolution of complex billing and payment related issues through investigation and re-education of internal and external customers to ensure compliance with Receipting and Banking policy and procedures
  • Daily banking reconciliations from multiple sources. Investigating unidentified payments and ensuring that all receipt files, dishonoured payments, and payment transfers are completed to meet critical month end timeframes along with the associated disbursement journals
  • Support the Accounts Receivable (AR) Team Leader to execute operational plans for the on-going functions of the team
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders that meet each party's needs and agreed outcomes
  • Always demonstrate excellent customer service through reliable, efficient and accurate execution of service deliverables
This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), permanent position.

The Shared Transaction Centre (STC) is the University of Auckland's centralised 'Purchase to Pay and 'Order to Cash' centre. We perform an operational function, consolidating high volume finance transactional activities relating to the purchasing and supply of goods and services. We are responsible for all purchasing, billing, and revenue collection activity for student fees, research activities, faculties, and service divisions.Accounts Receivable has 12-15 team members working well together in a dynamic environment and are motivated to get the job done.He kōrero mōu | About you
Our ideal candidate will be experienced in working in a similarly complex organisation, working to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment and up to date with current accounts receivable processes.You will be a people person with a can-do attitude who enjoys balancing the requirements to process high volumes of payment transactions in an efficient manner while providing provide excellent service to students and corporate customers about transactions, refunds and invoice paymentNga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills
  • Experience using an ERP system e.g. PeopleSoft
  • Be proficient in Microsoft excel as well as able to pick up the internal, industry specific software quickly
  • You will be experienced working in a customer-focused environment, with strong problem-solving abilities
