This roles is central to stewarding our commercial assets and ensuring intergenerational wellbeing and prosperity for Rangitāne uri.Mō RoMIT | About UsRoMIT is the commercial arm of the Rangitāne o Manawatū Settlement Trust (RoMST). It manages a diverse portfolio of investments, including property development, commercial leasing, social housing partnerships, and whenua-based initiatives.All governance decisions are underpinned by Rangitāne values, tikanga, and strategic pou.Ngā Tūranga | The RoleTrustee - RoMIT BoardWe seek a collaborative board member with expertise in:
  • Financial management, investment, audit, or accounting
  • Legal and regulatory compliance
  • Property, development, or commercial governance
  • Te ao Māori values and Māori-led governance contexts
Uri status is welcomed but not required for Trustee appointments.Note: While preference will be given to candidates with whakapapa to Rangitāne o Manawatū, all appointments will be made based on merit and capability.Ngā Pūkenga | Candidate Attributes
  • Strong governance experience (preferably in kaupapa Māori or commercial contexts)
  • Cultural fluency - understanding of te ao Māori, tikanga, and iwi engagement
  • Ability to critically assess risk, strategy, and investment performance
  • Alignment with RoMIT's intergenerational kaupapa and commercial responsibilities
