Ideally have a degree in law, politics, economics, or a related field.
- Experience working in central or local government or a membership organisation is advantageous. An understanding of New Zealand's political system, legislative processes, and familiarity with the Resource Management Act (RMA) is highly desirable.
- Have at least three years' experience in policy, advocacy, or research roles, with demonstrated success in leading projects or initiatives.
- A strategic thinker with political nous who can quickly grasp unfamiliar topics and draw connections to input into policy development.
- Polished communicator with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to build strong relationships across the organisation and industry.
- A proactive team member who enjoys testing new ideas, tackling challenges head-on, and mentoring others within the team when required.
- Will happily embrace Property Council New Zealand's behavioural aspirations and actively add value to the culture of our team.
