Our radiology service is committed to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging to support patient care across the region. You will work alongside a team of skilled professionals in a friendly, patient-centred environment. There are opportunities for training, skill development, and career advancement.The working hours are 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE). Shifts are on a 24/7 rotating roster Monday - Sunday, with no one working alone at one time.There is no on-call for this position.About the Team/Service/ LocationNelson Hospital Radiology is a leading diagnostic provider with two brand-new Siemens dual energy CT scanners and a team of experienced professionals. Our department offers a comprehensive range of imaging services, including General Radiography, CT scanning, MRI, Interventional/Cardiac Cath Lab and ultrasound, dedicating a gold standard service to a diverse patient population.   • As a Medical Imaging Technologist , you will have or be:
  • NZ registered with the NZMRT Board, and hold a current APC in dual scope of Medical Imaging Technologist and Magnetic Resonance Technologist,
  • Work alongside a team of skilled professionals in a friendly, patient-centred environment.
  • Perform high quality diagnostic imaging examinations with accuracy and attention to patient safety.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging that supports patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their imaging experience.
  • Be a friendly team player with great sense of humor,
  • Have sound knowledge of diagnostic radiography,
