Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleAs a Medical Imaging Technologist,you will work with medical imaging equipment taking x-rays for patients whilst providing quality patient care. You will be responsible for delivering the medical imaging service within available resources to meet the requirements and standards of the Radiology Service, Health New Zealand, for the people of Nelson Marlborough.You will work alongside a team of skilled professionals in a friendly, patient-centred environment. There are opportunities for training, skill development, and career advancement.This is a full-time role working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE). Shifts will be scheduled between 7:00AM - 11:00PM Monday to Sunday, with rotating and rostered on-call between 11:00PM and 8:00AM.About the Team/Service/ LocationOur team of 20 Medical Imaging Technologists provide a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service including: General Radiography, Ultrasound, CT and MammographyFor more information on living and working in Blenheim clickAbout youAs a Medical Imaging Technologist,you will have or be:
  • NZ registered with the NZMRT Board, and hold a current APC in dual scope of Medical Imaging Technologist and Magnetic Resonance Technologist,
  • a positive and friendly team player with great sense of humor,
  • a sound knowledge of diagnostic radiography,
  • great communication skills and empathy,
  • the passion to deliver high-quality healthcare,
  • flexibility to work within a Monday-Sunday rotating roster.
