We live by our REAL values – Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude, Leadership – and we demonstrate these through the good work we do, every day, as one team.Nau mai haere mai ki tā mātou whānau | Welcome to our Fulton Hogan FamilyWe are on the lookout for Project Engineers for our Major Projects Civil Structures teams across Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Wellington, Hawkes Bay, Gisborne and Christchurch. We are currently delivering work ranging from motorway extensions, bridges and wharves to water treatment plants, storage tanks and pipelines.You will lead the project teams with your energy, civil construction knowledge and capability to be hands on, providing coaching and mentoring to team members on various technical elements, ensuring that work is completed to deadline and a high quality.You will have proven experience in civil construction projects and be familiar with NZS3916 and the Construction Contracts Act. You will be well versed in using these principals to get the job completed within the timeframe, budget and claim entitlements. You will have a strong history of successfully managing staff and subcontractors.As you will be accountable for the day to day running of the project site and progress of works, you will ensure the documentation required for project records and administration is completed accurately and within required time frames. Proven experience preparing correspondence/programming and cost estimates is advantageous. You will be involved in scheduling works, procuring contractor services, and providing technical expertise as needed.Good Work equals Good Benefits

  • Proven experience managing budgets and programmes.
  • Excellent leadership qualities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Financial focus towards project costs.
  • Proven ability in subcontractor management.
  • You will need a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Structural Engineer and have a BE, NZCE or a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
