You’ll provide high-level people-related advice, broker relationships between leadership priorities and enabling teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our tiered-service operating model.This is a unique opportunity to influence strategic workforce planning, uplift organisational capability, and help shape the future of policing in New Zealand.Key Accountabilities:
  • Partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic people initiatives aligned with Police’s enterprise goals.
  • Provide expert advice on workforce planning, organisational development, and change leadership.
  • Champion continuous improvement across the People Group operating model.
  • Support initiatives that keep our people safe, well, and resilient.
  • Collaborate across business units to ensure people strategies reflect community needs and operational realities.

  • Proven experience in strategic HR leadership, ideally within complex or public sector environments.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills at executive level.
  • Deep understanding of organisational development, workforce strategy, and change management.
