  • Support the implementation of financial plans and provide analysis of financial performance, risks, and issues.
  • Prepare financial reports and ensure robust assumptions underpin budgets and forecasts.
  • Advise on NZTA’s complex fuuding environment and support business case development.
  • Enhance financial capability across the organisation.
  • Drive process improvements and support decision-making through financial insights.
We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $131,659 to $153,602 commensurate to skills and experience.You will find out more about the role .Ko koe tēnei | About you
  • Demonstrated experience in a Business Partnering or Management Accounting role.
  • Qualified chartered accountant or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating purposeful conversations between key decision makers, at a senior level, to reach decisions in a complex business environment.
  • A high-level proficiency in the use and manipulation of financial data, reporting tools as well as Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and with commercial acumen – able to see the big picture, make connections and appropriate decisions.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public service.Mō mātou | About UsThe purpose of our group, through demonstrating sound commercial acumen, is to provide business planning, financial, investment, and assurance services for NZTA Waka Kotahi and the land transport sector. Our finance function enables NZTA to deliver its strategic and operational financial objectives and obligations.
