  • Lead the team to deliver unit pricing and reconciliations outcomes that meet client needs.
  • Meet client service levels and deliver to client expectations
  • Ownership and accountability for the overall unit pricing and reconciliations function
  • Robust and hands on team management to create and drive a culture of collaboration, high performance, and engagement
  • Manage the unit pricing & reconciliations team including setting and monitoring team members KPI’s and performance to KPI’s through regular 1-1’s, daily stand ups and team meetings
  • Responsible for ensuring that there are the right skills across the team with a focusing on upskilling and professional development identifying any staff training needs and determining how to fill any gaps
  • Identify and implement process efficiency initiatives and continuously looking for ways to improve the service we offer to clients
  • Provide input into product roadmaps, ensuring key requirements for Unit Pricing and Reconciliations get the right focus and development, supporting testing of new developments as required
  • Unit pricing – monitor and ensure that all client unit prices are calculated in accordance with the client service delivery requirements
  • Security pricing – ensure that all security prices required for daily valuations have been received and loaded into NeXus including tolerance checks for correct prices
  • Investment performance - ensure client performance is calculated and appropriately reviewed before being sent to clients
  • Ensure that the Unit Pricing processes and procedures are always current
  • Ensure all client expense accruals in NeXus are correct
  • Ensure reconciliations are completed, investigate and matched on a daily basis with any exceptions being dealt with with urgency and aging breaks are well managed and minimal.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as reasonably required by the busines
Skills Required:
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce or a related specialisation (preferred but not essential)
  • Several years’ experience within an Operations role, preferably unit pricing, or financial accounting
  • Strong leadership skills and experience with managing to daily deliverables
  • Naturally inquisitive mind and use of initiative with a focus on continuous improvement with a proven experience driving new initiatives and project management
  • Ability to create an open and inclusive team culture and drive high-performance
  • Self-starter, supportive and collaborative with a team-oriented approach
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and influence at a senior level
  • Displays good judgement and decision-making skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems, with strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to financial modelling and a sound working knowledge of MS Excel at an intermediate to advanced level
  • Sound knowledge of the fund administration industry and New Zealand market
