They are now expanding into New Zealand and seeking a commercially focused Sales & Operations Manager to establish and lead their Auckland operations.
This is a rare opportunity to set up a new office, manage sales and operations, and lead a small team — including a Sales Representative who will report directly to you and handle all dealer visits and field sales.The role
- Lead the setup of the new Auckland office (serviced office initially)
- Manage and mentor the Sales Representative, providing guidance on dealer engagement, pricing, and sales strategy
- Oversee order pipelines, sales operations, and ensure alignment with their Japanese HQ
- Act as the main liaison with HQ, providing market insights, reports, and recommendations
- Manage local operations, including compliance, logistics, and budgets
- Drive new business opportunities and shape growth initiatives in NZ
- 3–5 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development, or operations management – Experience in the used vehicle industry, or a passion for vehicles will be advantageous
- Previous leadership or team management experience preferred
- Entrepreneurial mindset – confident setting up and running a lean operation
- Strong communicator, organised, and adaptable to dynamic environments
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business tools
- Lead the launch of NZ operations with full local ownership
- Manage both commercial and operational functions, with one direct report initially (potential for the team to grow in the future)
- Collaborate closely with Japan HQ in a global environment
