Also pivotal to this role will be helping to expand our market presence, keeping an eye on trends and client needs, assisting in the management of award submissions, nurturing client relationships and strengthening key partnerships.At Beca, our Business Development team spearheads the way, extending guidance, counsel, and support to both our technical and market-focused leaders. This presents a unique opportunity for you to actively participate in business development initiatives spanning New Zealand, while supporting endeavors that drive sales, cultivate market visibility, and fortify client connections. Situated within a dynamic Clients & Markets unit comprising professionals scattered across New Zealand and Australia, including experts in marketing, communications, and design, our Business Development team is ready to shape the future.Ko wai koe | About youA typical day for our Business Development team is centered around directly securing projects by helping develop pursuits and deliver bids, leveraging our influence on client leaders to cultivate stronger relationships, aligning priorities with prevailing market trends, crafting compelling marketing materials and award submissions - and handling a myriad of tasks in between! This role will make a big impact working across a number of our priority markets, all while being an integral part of the larger Clients & Markets team, providing mutual support and fostering growth.This role is designed for candidates with some experience in business development, marketing, or bid leadership.Your Day-to-Day:
  • Pursuit and bid development
  • Coordination of award submissions and attendance at industry functions
  • Assisting market facing team members to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Influence decision-making with active pipeline management
  • You will be working in close collaboration with the BD team, technical and market focused team members and our talented team of marketing, communications, and business development experts
