We live by our REAL values – Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude, Leadership – and we demonstrate these through the good work we do, every day, as one team.We are seeking a motivated individual to be part of our Paving works around Southland.As a Paving Operator your key duties will be operating the plant machinery including the paving machine to apply asphalt and other materials to roadways, car parks, and other surfaces. You will work across various sized projects within Southland.In addition to the above you will:
  • Operate paving machinery, including asphalt pavers, rollers, excavators and other related equipment.
  • Attend and take part in pre-start meetings, understanding hazards and Health and Safety Risks.
  • Conduct general labourer duties when required to ensure timely completion per project timeframes.
  • Work closely with other construction team members, including labourers, forepersons, and site supervisors.

  • Full Class 1 License - WTR Endorsements and Class 2 an advantage but not essential
  • Mechanical aptitude and methodical approach to work
  • An ownership towards maintenance and care of machinery
  • Customer focus and good communication skills
  • Punctual timekeeping
  • Willing to Learn
  • Experience in the industry preferred but not essential.
