Your Title: Product Research InternJob Location: Christchurch, NZOur Segment: AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, & Owner)Internship Period: 17th November 2025 to 13th February 2026Number of Positions: 1Are you interested in an internship opportunity where you gain valuable product & customer research experience with world-leading technology solutions across various industries?What You Will DoAs a Product Research Intern with Trimble, you will contribute to a dynamic team of product & design research professionals, assisting with a broad spectrum of customer research activities that inform Trimble’s cross-product strategies and new technology initiatives such as AI.You will be working within the NZ arm of a global team, collaborating with members across multiple locations, and you will gain practical experience in a range of customer and strategic research areas:Collaborate with design and product teams to translate research insights into actionable recommendationsContribute to the creation of research reports and presentationsAssist the research team in identifying user needs and market trendsSupport customer research methods, such as interviews, surveys, and usability testingHelp analyze research data and synthesize findingsSupport the team in understanding customer pain points and opportunities.What Skills & Experience You Should BringCuriosity, and a passion for understanding people, their context, and why they do what they doCurrently studying a diploma or bachelor’s in a design, market research, or customer research-related fieldSome experience or study in Voice of Customer, or Qualitative and/or quantitative research methodologiesGood communication skills with the ability to tell ‘human’ storiesAn ability to tell stories visually through graphs, or graphicsSome interest in user-centered design principles and practicesFamiliarity with research tools (e.g., survey platforms, data analysis software) is helpful but not essential.Please note: Only applicants who are students and legally entitled to work in New Zealand will be considered.About Our AECO SegmentArchitecture, Engineering, Construction & Owner (AECO) is comprised of five divisions responsible for different products and services related to the construction lifecycle, including:Design & EngineeringGeneral ContractingCivil ContractingTrade ConstructionsWe are actively leveraging these industry-leading capabilities to deliver a unified Trimble Construction One (TC1) offering to our customers.
