The QA Systems/Audit Engineer works to ensure that the CHCEC’s Quality Management (QMS) and Safety Management Systems (SMS) are in compliance with applicable regulatory and statutory requirements, that the business operation is in conformance with the QMS & SMS and that the business delivers a safe and airworthy product.Your RoleMonitor and interpret civil aviation regulations, incorporating applicable requirements into CHCEC’s Quality and Safety Management Systems to ensure ongoing compliancePlan and conduct audits of product and support sections, engine certification documents, and external repair vendorsDirect and lead external regulatory and customer auditors within the product and support sections.Lead and administer safety inquiries and quality investigations.Issue Company Authorisations.Your ProfileHold an NZCAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License or an overseas equivalentHold or be prepared to gain a Lead Auditor qualificationHave a minimum of 10 years’ experience in aviation maintenance, preferably with some experience working in a QA function in an aero-engine MROHave a high level of computer and IT literacyBe a confident and empathic communicator with the ability to communicate at all levelsBe a team playerLead by example – maintain high standards of professionalismHave excellent verbal and written communications skillsBe friendly, outgoing, and passionate about what you doOPTIMAL QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in a Quality or Business Management or Engineering field, andLead Auditor QualificationWHAT YOU CAN EXPECTChristchurch Engine Centre offers a competitive remuneration package including a generous superannuation scheme and an opportunity for a bonus plan.
