In every aspect of our work, we are committed to helping whānau be the best they can be.He kōrero mō te tūranga | The RoleThe primary purpose of this role is to support tangata whaiora in their journey toward living full and satisfying lives within the community.Duties of the role may include but not limited to:
  • Support tangata whaiora to set and achieve personal goals for living well in the community.
  • Facilitate group and individual programmes that build life skills, confidence, and independence.
  • Share your lived experience to inspire hope and support others on their recovery journey.
  • Coordinate activities and resources to ensure programmes run smoothly and meet client needs.
  • Build strong connections with whānau, community agencies, and support networks.
He kōrero mōu | About YouTo be successful in this role you'll:
  • Lived experience of mental distress and/or addiction, and a willingness to share your recovery journey.
  • A Level 4 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (or commitment to work towards it).
  • Basic computer skills (email, client management systems, intranet).
  • Strong people skills to engage and support clients in diverse situations.
  • Experience in mental health, addiction, intellectual disability, or social services.
  • Ability to connect with community agencies and networks (desirable).
  • A full NZ driver's licence and full working rights in NZ.
