We're looking for a compassionate nurse to join our team at a specialty clinic focused on Sexual Health. This role offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes patient education, support, and care.The Specialty Clinical Nurse – Sexual Health position is primarily based at Greerton Clinics – Te Pa Harakeke in Tauranga. However, as this role is part of a Bay of Plenty-wide service, you may also work at other sites including Te Puke and Whakatāne.As a SCN Sexual Health, you'll apply your expertise in sexual health assessment, diagnostics, and outpatient treatment while supporting patients to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.Key Responsibilities
Providing comprehensive sexual health assessments, diagnostics, and treatments in an outpatient setting
Delivering patient education and support to promote sexual health and wellbeing
Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient-centred care
Contributing to service development and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Maintaining a non-judgmental, empathetic, and culturally safe approach to all interactions
About the Team/Service/ LocationOur Sexual Health service is a small, highly skilled, and dedicated team committed to improving sexual health outcomes across the Bay of Plenty. We provide confidential, patient-focused outpatient care that is accessible, culturally safe, and inclusive for people from all walks of life.With clinics located in Greerton, Te Puke, and Whakatāne, we ensure our communities have access to specialist expertise close to home. Our team works collaboratively with a wide range of health and community partners, combining clinical knowledge, health promotion, and education to support the wellbeing of our population.About youYou will be an experienced nurse with a passion for sexual health and the ability to provide safe, effective, and respectful care to patients from all walks of life.
Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
Postgraduate qualification or certification in sexual health nursing (preferred)
Experience in sexual health nursing or related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
