Join our team as a full-time Support Worker within our Community Mobile Support Service. Our dedicated team of Kaimahi all work towards a shared mission: empowering our whai ora to lead fulfilling lives with maximum independence within the community. In our community mobile services, we are committed to providing compassionate care and support to help individuals achieve their recovery and overall well-being goals.As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding individuals in managing their budgets effectively.
- Enhancing their independent daily living skills.
- Accompanying them to appointments
- Providing essential assistance with medication.
- Implementing a recovery-oriented approach in your work.
- Facilitating connections between individuals and their local community.
We are looking for people who have a genuine interest in supporting whai ora to achieve goals, develop new skills and strengthen community connections. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have the following:
- You must hold a current full driver's licence.
- You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one on commencing employment if successful.
- Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent or be willing to obtain one.
