In this influential role, you'll lead the delivery of high-quality, timely, and consistent ministerial advice, correspondence, and official information responses.You'll be a key driver of strategic thinking and continuous improvement, guiding complex work programmes and mentoring others to lift performance. As a trusted adviser to senior leaders, you'll also play a vital role in cross-agency collaboration and embedding best practice across the system.To be considered for this position, you must be a current New Zealand Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a NZ Government National Security Clearance - at Confidential level. You bring political nous, sound judgement, and a calm, solutions-focused approach to complex and sensitive issues.You thrive in fast-paced environments, build strong relationships with ease, and are known for your ability to influence and lead with credibility.You will need to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in ministerial servicing, public sector policy, or executive support at a senior level
- Strong political awareness and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive issues with confidence
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels
- A commitment to continuous improvement and lifting performance across teams
