- Providing expert advice on operational engagement throughout the design, construction, commissioning, and handover phases of projects.
- Ensuring collaboration between capital delivery and operations teams to align project objectives with operational and regulatory requirements.
- Balancing strategic oversight with the operational needs of the infrastructure.
- Leading risk management efforts and ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders.
- Overseeing operational training, commissioning, and handover processes to ensure smooth transitions.
- A tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field, with at least 10 years' experience in water/wastewater operations and capital project management.
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with capital project teams, operational staff, and external stakeholders such as contractors and regulatory bodies.
- A track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects, particularly in the water/wastewater sector.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing large-scale projects with a focus on operational integration and regulatory compliance.

Position -6 month fixed term
Location - This position is primarily based at Christchurch Wastewater Treatment Plant, Bromley
Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $126,230 to $140,255 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and interviews may take place prior to the close date.
