Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer with a passion for fabrication and a knack for resolving breakdowns? If you have 1-2 years of hands-on experience and are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, we want to hear from you! We are seeking a talented Maintenance Engineer to join one of our clients in the Otorohanga area and ensure the smooth operation of their facility. As a fabrication specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our equipment, minimizing downtime, and contributing to our success.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on saw mill equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose breakdowns to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct fabrication work to repair or replace damaged components as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts usage and equipment history.
  • Ensure safety protocols and standards are followed at all times.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer, with a focus on fabrication.
  • Proficiency in fabrication techniques, including welding, cutting, and machining.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve breakdowns efficiently.
  • Knowledge of saw mill equipment and machinery is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, if necessary.
