
Plant and Terminal Operator

- Operate and monitor plant equipment and terminal systems for efficient fuel handling
- Conduct bunker operations for vessels docked at the port
- Assist with tanker operations, including discharging fuel into terminal tanks
- Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and operating procedures
- Maintain accurate records of all operations and transactions
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet operational goals
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or equipment malfunctions
- Participate in ongoing training and safety drills to maintain operational readiness
- Assist with additional terminal duties as required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in plant operations, terminal operations, or related field preferred
- Full Class A New Zealand driver's license
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to operational procedures
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks and work in various weather conditions
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and digital communication
- Demonstrated reliability and team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to undergo and pass a drug screening process
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Quick learner with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Forklift certification is a plus, but not required (training may be provided)
