ABOUT THE COMPANY They’re an extremely well known international brand with a strong presence in New Zealand. They’re in the competitive business of freight forwarding and have an excellent client base.ABOUT THE ROLE This is a hunting role with business opportunities right here in Christchurch and the wider South Island. Travel will be required in the role and you will need to identify new business opportunities and close off the sale.You need to build strategic working relationships with customers influencing decisions and make sound financial interpretation with a solid knowledge of our client products, services, procedures and processes.ABOUT YOU Our ideal candidate will already have Business Development experience within the freight forwarding industry along with the below attributes;

Excellent time management and organisational skills
Thinks outside the box and will use your initiative
Attention to detail
A team player with the ability to work well under pressure
Pro-active and resourceful with excellent time management
Must be able to take ownership
B2B solution selling experience
Cold calling experience
Strong time management
Strong communication; verbal and written
Excellent negotiation and numerical skills
Professional attitude and presentation as well as highly motivated
A thirst for challenges, and you’re not afraid of hard work
Be able to seal the deal
