Well known for successfully delivering technical and challenging projects across the country this contractor offers continued career development for those who want to secure their future in the industry. This position is an exciting opportunity to lead major civil and infrastructure projects with a focus on water and wastewater, an area with a massive pipeline of work ahead.The successful candidate will bring:
  • 10+ years' experience in civil and infrastructure projects, specifically water and wastewater
  • Proven track record managing works ranging from mains upgrades to capital projects valued in the region of £10m
  • A strong background in self-delivery, with hands-on experience managing teams and resources
  • A relevant degree or equivalent industry based qualifications
  • Commercial and contractual understanding with the ability to negotiate, manage risk, and deliver to budget
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across clients, consultants and subcontractors
This role is one of a number of key positions with this client in Christchurch as they look to capitalise on the increase in workload ahead. You will take responsibility for the safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of complex civil works, ensuring high quality outcomes for local communities. This client focusses predominantly on self-delivery of its projects alongside using specialist subcontractors when needed. The range of work is large and could include simple mains reinstatement right up to the construction of new water treatment plants so a good understanding of the sector including capital works is essential.This contractor has an excellent track record of assisting candidates from overseas to successfully relocate to New Zealand and they help with every step along the way.
