Mō tēnei tūranga - about the roleThe Health Monitoring Programme has been established and will monitor the medical and psychological health of our people. The Principal Advisor will be responsible for supporting the Programme Manager to deliver this programme of work. To do this, you will co-facilitate risk workshops across the motu to engage our personnel, to help inform the development of the Health Monitoring programme. You will engage with and develop strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to assist with consultation and implementation of the programme. You will also write regular updates for the Board and Executive Leadership Team.This is a Fixed Term or secondment position until 31 August 2027.Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you'll bring to the role:Bring your proven expertise in providing guidance and advice within the Health and Safety field. You will have strong political acumen with a diplomatic approach when implementing changes. Your ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders along with your clear writing style using plain language so it is accessible to a wide variety of audiences within the organisation.To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have:
  • Excellent writing ability with experience producing Board level papers and reports
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to provide evidence based advise
  • Relevant qualification in the Health and Safety field or relevant industry experience
  • Experience in risk management
  • Experience in facilitating risk assessment workshops
  • Understanding of Machinery of Government
