
Project Engineer - Fleet

- Be involved in the design and development of equipment (through the use of CAD Solidworks) and systems to enhance the safety, ease, and efficiency of our collection, processing, and redistribution business.
- Carry out first order stress analysis on simple bodies and ability to optimise vehicle payloads and increase asset life
- Complete design from concept to manufacture of waste collections vehicle and associated equipment.
- Produce complete detailed manufacturing drawings including cut and fold, fabrication and assembly instructions to industry standards
- Create new improved components utilising of 3D printing and other cutting-edge technologies
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and procurement, to ensure design requirements are met
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate design updates and deliverables
- Continuously improve to design & manufacturing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity by design.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Proficient in Solidworks suite of products, AutoCad & MS Office
- Previous experience in machine design and in-depth knowledge in mechanical, hydro mechanical and electromechanical mechanisms and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of automotive/transportation industry regulations and standards
