We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to join team in Christchurch, focused on the pneumatic conveying, power generation and transportation (heavy industry/truck) sectors. You will be responsible for driving sales, designing systems, supporting clients, and promoting the use of products across New Zealand. This is a highly visible role where technical expertise and relationship-building are key.Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell pneumatic conveyance, filtration equipment, and valves across NZ
- Identify system designs and solutions according to customer requirements
- Prepare and submit quotations, tenders, and project proposals, ensuring margins and budgets are maintained
- Support internal staff with technical expertise, fault finding, and product guidance
- Participate in client meetings, sales calls, and industry conferences
- Develop and maintain client lists, sales reports, and the sales funnel
- Assist with staff training, workshops, and providing customer/operator training
- Ensure adherence to company policies and contribute to maximising shareholder returns
- Proven experience in sales engineering or technical sales, ideally in pneumatic conveying, general mechanical engineering, machinery, agricultural, or transportation industry
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to design and specify systems to meet client requirements
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel
