Facilities Support OfficerAbout the roleReporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Facilities Support Officer is concerned with the maintenance of all Auckland City Mission buildings, grounds, and facilities. You will support the Maintenance Manager and Assets & Facilities Manager to maintain the general up-keep of the buildings to the required standard.We value team development and our people's career growth; we will mentor you on your unique journey to do meaningful work in a supportive environment.   • Organise specialised repairs with the appropriate suppliers.
  • Adjust/replace/repair defective room fittings and fixture as required.
  • Record all maintenance tasks completed in a timely fashion and communicate to parties.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all policies and procedures.
Skills
  • Min 5yrs facilities maintenance experience.
  • Trade skills in particular painting, plastering and carpentry.
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy environment and communicate effectively with people from all walks of life.
  • Competent user of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
  • Full clean New Zealand Drivers licence is essential.
Skills, experience and knowledge may also be obtained from a number of different experiences. For example, from paid work, voluntary work, work undertaken within your Church, Marae, or from specific iwi/whānau responsibilities.Benefits

About the organisationAuckland City Mission - Te Tāpui Atawhai supports Aucklanders in greatest need. Our services have evolved as the city's social needs have changed, and we respond to these needs with care and compassion while advocating for a reality where there are: enough suitable homes, enough money for nutritious food, and easily accessible health care for all.
