We're not just shaping the country's future - we're shaping rewarding careers for our people too.About the roleWe're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Wellington team and contribute to our growing portfolio of projects in the lower North Island.With a diverse range of projects across the region, Hawkins offers a supportive environment where you can expand your expertise, take on rewarding challenges, and advance your career.Who we are looking for:Reporting to a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the financial management of projects, setting and monitoring budgets, reviewing cost to complete, progress claims and variations, and financial reporting and systems.You will be a key member of our team and get to work with some of New Zealand's most knowledgeable and accomplished construction professionals.To be considered for this role you will have:

A minimum of 6 years' experience working on commercial construction projects.
A Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or similar relevant qualification.
Proven experience in commercially leading a project and independently managing all Quantity Surveying responsibilities.
Great teamwork and people skills. You'll be comfortable working with a wide range of people including clients, consultants and senior management.
Excellent NZ contract law knowledge.
Excellent financial literacy and exposure to Jobpac or a similar financial control package would be highly desirable.
Advanced computer literacy; particularly in Excel.
