
Media & Communications Coordinator - New Zealand Football

- Plan and deliver media and publicity campaigns promoting NZF programmes, competitions, national teams, and community initiatives.
- Create content across channels - media releases, feature articles, match reports, website updates, newsletters, and social media.
- Conduct interviews with players, coaches, and stakeholders to support storytelling.
- Pitch content to media outlets (TV, radio, print, digital, podcasts).
- Serve as media contact and manage relations for major events and announcements.
- Coordinate communications for national teams, competitions, and special projects.
- Work with regional federations to amplify local stories and align messaging.
- Monitor media coverage and analyse campaign performance.
- 1+ years' experience in media or communications, with proven ability to manage media relationships and deliver communications plans.
- Strong understanding of traditional and digital media, with experience pitching stories and creating original editorial content.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, including conducting interviews and producing engaging content.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects and stakeholders, meeting deadlines, and delivering accurate reporting.
- Passion for sport (football an advantage) and commitment to inclusive, engaging communication and strong stakeholder relationships
