This is a senior leadership role within the Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG), working closely with stakeholders at both regional and national levels, providing leadership, assurance, and direction across a diverse portfolio of complex, high value projects from early planning through to completion.While the role offers flexibility in where you're based within the Central Region, it does require a hands on approach. You'll need to be present on site at hospital campuses during key phases of delivery, working alongside teams, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring that what's planned on paper is being brought to life on the ground.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe IIG team are focused on delivering high impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system. 10+ years successfully managing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects, ideally in health or construction, with budgets ranging from $5 upwards.
Proven ability to align project delivery with organisational strategy, manage risk, and deliver measurable benefits.
5+ years in senior management, with a track record of building high-performing, diverse teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
Skilled in navigating complex stakeholder environments, including government, iwi, contractors, and internal teams.
Proven experience with business case development, benefit tracking, and executive-level reporting.
Relevant tertiary qualification (postgraduate preferred) and professional recognition (e.g., PMI, APM).
Able to present and influence at senior levels, with strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
Experience working in multicultural and diverse environments, with a strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022
