We’re looking for a Business Development Manager – Major Projects to lead our expansion efforts across New Zealand.About the RoleAs the BDM – Major Projects, you’ll be at the forefront of securing and delivering multi-million dollar projects nationwide. You’ll manage key wholesale relationships, oversee project lifecycles from inception to completion, and play a pivotal role in shaping our market presence.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Market Expansion
  • Lead strategic direction for major project acquisition across NZ.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in large-scale markets.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for major projects and new verticals.
  • Conduct SWOT analyses and competitive benchmarking.
  • Prioritise and time strategic projects to align with market and company goals.
Commercial Negotiation & Proposal Management
  • Lead high-value supply negotiations and close multi-million dollar deals.
  • Develop tailored proposals and business cases for key stakeholders.
Project & Pipeline Management
  • Maintain a national sales pipeline for major accounts and projects.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of major projects.
  • Support accurate forecasting of stock holdings for project readiness.
Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers and project branches.
  • Ensure successful contract delivery and secure future opportunities.
  • Collaborate across internal and external teams to execute sales plans.
Reporting & Communication
  • Provide regular updates to NZ Commercial Manager and Oceania Major Projects Manager.
  • Communicate market intelligence, project progress, and risks effectively.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven success in securing and delivering multi-million dollar projects.
  • Strong understanding of the NZ electrical market and major contractors.
  • Experience managing wholesale relationships and forecasting stock.
  • Commercial savvy with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-value opportunities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
