Job Description:The CompanyI am pleased to be partnering with an award-winning organization with a strong national presence to find their next Financial Controller. This person will lead a high performing team and act as 2IC to the CFO. The business has experienced significant growth over the past 10 years, part of which is now supported by backing from local private equity. The business has aspirational plans and wants this person to be an integral part of that growth and financial stewardship.The RoleThe role is multi-dimensional. You will own the finance function and report directly to an experienced and well-credential CFO. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Lead the annual business planning and budgeting process, as well as quarterly forecasting
Lead a high performing team of 10 (4 direct reports)
Compile board reporting, as well as regular investor packs
Partner closely with Regional Managers and GMs to ensure financial and strategic objectives are being met
Provide comprehensive insights and trend analysis on the external commercial & competitive environment, highlighting risks & opportunities
Develop and maintain dashboards to ensure timely reporting (Power BI)
Work with SLT on strategic investment decisions, including M&A opportunities
Ensure accurate financial reporting, including month-end tasks
Lead the audit process and constantly review and update internal controls

Your profileTo be suitable for this role, the following things are essential:

CA/CPA or equivalent qualification
Experience from complex and fast-paced industries, like, manufacturing, FMCG or construction
Strong technical skills, possibly from audit, alongside a commercial mindset

In addition to this, the following would be advantageous:

Big 4 training, ideally in audit
Exposure to Power BI
Systems nous, especially any project/implementation work
