Surfing for Farmers is on the lookout for a dynamic General Manager to take the helm and lead the next chapter of this grassroots success story.About UsSurfing for Farmers is a nationwide rural wellbeing initiative that gives farmers a chance to step away from the pressures of daily life, learn a new skill, and connect with others in a relaxed, supportive setting. With events running in coastal regions across Aotearoa each summer, we partner with volunteers, industry organisations, and sponsors to strengthen rural networks and promote wellbeing.The OpportunityAs General Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall leadership of the organisation - from strategy and operations to stakeholder engagement, sponsorship, and financial sustainability. You'll be the face of the programme, the engine behind its smooth delivery, and the driver of its future growth.This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role that requires someone who's as comfortable chatting with farmers on the beach as they are presenting to sponsors in the boardroom.You'll bring:

Proven leadership experience, ideally within the not-for-profit, agri-sector or rural community space
A track record of securing funding and managing strategic sponsorships
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Experience managing volunteers and community-led programmes
A genuine connection to mental health and rural wellbeing
Commercial acumen with the ability to think strategically and act operationally
