- Is a natural people person - can read the room, build rapport fast, and communicate with confidence.
- Has a minimum of 3+ years' experience in a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor or Business Partner role, or equivalent dedicated HSW experience.
- Has a diploma or degree in HSW (or is on the journey there - we love lifelong learners!).
- Is happy to hit the road - this isn't a behind the desk role. Ideally you'll be based in the Waikato Region as you'll be on the road across the Upper North Island (TaupÅ north), spending several nights away each month and providing hands-on support where it matters most.
- Who is curious, open-minded, and always looking for ways to grow and improve.
- Can take technical HSW info and turn it into practical, plain-language advice that sticks.
- Bonus points for experience in agriculture, logistics, or hazardous substances - or a keen attitude to learn.
- Sees incidents as learning opportunities and brings a systems-thinking approach to reviews.
- Is confident leading from the front - whether it's a presentation, induction, or team training session.
