In every aspect of our work, we are committed to helping whānau be the best they can be.He kōrero mō te tūranga | The RoleWe're looking for a compassionate and skilled leader to manage our Residential Youth Service in Blockhouse Bay. This service supports young wāhine who have experienced trauma and are facing complex life challenges. It is a safe, structured environment where connection, healing, and stability are at the forefront.As Service Manager, you'll lead a dedicated team delivering trauma-informed, person-centred support. You'll ensure a high standard of care while maintaining a culture of safety, consistency, and respect. Collaboration with whānau, clinical teams, and external partners will be key to achieving positive outcomes for rangatahi.Some key responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a multidisciplinary team in a residential setting.
  • Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for young wāhine.
  • Maintain service quality and meet all contractual and clinical standards.
  • Build strong relationships with whānau and partner services.
  • Support team development and foster reflective, trauma-informed practice.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, staffing, and budgets.
He kōrero mōu | About YouTo thrive in this role, you'll be a confident leader who is passionate about youth wellbeing and understands the impact of trauma-informed practice.You will have:
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams in youth services or trauma-informed environments.
  • A relevant Level 7+ tertiary qualification in Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
  • Full registration and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) under the HPCA Act 2003, (e.g., Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, AOD Clinician).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A full, clean NZ driver's licence.
