ICT Category ManagerTe whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityAs the ICT Category Manager, you will lead the procurement strategy for a diverse and strategically important category, covering hardware, software, digital tools, IT and Futuring services. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing innovative commercial solutions that deliver value, support digital transformation, and align with our ESG goals. Working closely with stakeholders across Digital, Technology, Cybersecurity, Delivery/Projects and Finance teams, you'll ensure contracts are robust, supplier performance is optimized, and all ICT procurement complies with relevant licensing, policy, and regulatory requirements. This isn't you're ordinary ICT role stuck in software renewal cycles!This role plays a key part in Beca's procurement transformation, “Better Buying at Beca 2025,” which aims to future-proof our systems, structures, and governance for the decade ahead. You'll become the go-to expert on ICT market trends, vendor ecosystems, and supply chain health, helping shape consistent, customer-centric procurement practices across Beca and client engagements. Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager, you'll identify and manage enterprise-level risks and opportunities, contributing to the success of our broader procurement function.In addition to category leadership, you'll support bid responses related to ICT supply chains, social procurement, supplier diversity, and modern slavery. Your work will reflect our commitment to ethical, secure, and sustainable commercial activities, while helping build a resilient and high-performing technology supply base. This is a unique opportunity to influence how Beca buys ICT for our internal operations and our diverse client projects and to make a lasting impact across the business.Ko wai koe | About youAs the Category Manager for ICT, you will develop, implement, and manage a Category Strategy that drives performance, value-for-money, and supports Beca's ESG and digital transformation objectives. You will lead end-to-end procurement activities across all ICT spend, leveraging the wider Buying Team for support where needed. Building strong relationships with internal customers, key stakeholders and suppliers, and the Digital & Technology teams will be essential to delivering successful outcomes.You will take the lead on sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and performance monitoring, acting as the go-to expert for driving value within the ICT category. Your ability to tap into market conditions, technology trends, and supply chain health will position you as a trusted advisor across the business. You'll work closely with the wider Procurement Team to ensure procurement practices are consistent, connected, and customer-centric across Beca and client-related activities.This role would suit an individual who has strong commercial and negotiation experience, with either a background in ICT procurement or a generalist who understands the uniqueness, technical components, and significance of procuring ICT contracts and is well connected into the market.Ko tā mātou hei hoatu | What we offerA career with Beca will provide you with:
