We offer a stimulating teaching, research and professional working environment in one of our three campuses: our main campus in Whakatāne, Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) and Wairoa.The Strategic Business Partner will work closely with the Executive Director - Strategy to lead and support high-impact initiatives, critical projects, and stakeholder engagement. You will champion our commitment to achieving zero carbon emissions, embedding sustainability into our organisational culture and operations.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about sustainability and strategy.To successfully undertake this role you will have:· Bachelor's degree in mātauranga Māori, strategy, leadership, Humanities, science, business, arts, or a related field.· Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability plans and/or strategies and initiatives, preferably in an educational or organisational setting.· Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with experience using sustainability metrics and tracking tools.· Strong knowledge of Aotearoa issues, strategy or sustainability framewoks.· Familiarity with New Zealand's Strategic education and climate change policies.· Excellent project management skills· Passion for strategy/sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change towards a sustainable future.· Competency in tikanga Māori and Te Reo Māori· A current, unrestricted private motor vehicle licenceWe offer a supportive working environment and welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
