
Transport Engineer

- Ability to define scope of traffic engineering & planning projects, design technical solutions, and lead project / design teams to deliver those solutions to meet the needs of our clients.
- Lead and contribute to traffic engineering deliverables, including Road Safety Audits (RSA), scheme assessments, detailed design and technical reports.
- Plan, design, and oversee construction of infrastructure projects.
- Monitor construction works to ensure quality, time, and budget targets are met.
- Undertake engineering inspections and recommend remedial works as needed.
- Create and interpret and review engineering drawings and specifications.
- Support contract and project management, including coordination with subcontractors.
- Leading client and stakeholder communications, building and strengthening client relationships.
- Act as Project Manager for medium-sized projects, responsible for project documentation (scope of work etc.) and managing client interactions.
- Lead the development and submission of proposals for routine projects.
- Contribute to business development through managing bids, preparing proposals, and helping to win new work.
- Communicate with clients about current work and future needs, provide timely updates on project progress.
- Supervise, support and train less experienced members of the team. Formally mentoring young professionals (subject to your level of competency)
- Driving process improvement and innovation across engineering activities.
- Collect and analyze project data to inform decision-making.
- Stay up to date with engineering standards and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, or related field).
- 5-10 years of professional engineering experience and with / looking to obtain CPEng certification.
- Strong design experience across a range of projects transportation projects
- Self-starter and motivated to improve and challenge yourself to grow you career
- Proficient with design packages such as Civil3d and/or 12D and AutoCad
- Familiarity with construction monitoring, drawing creation, and contract management.
- Proven track record in client relationship management.
- Experience managing and supervising junior colleagues ideally across diverse geographies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Comfortable using engineering software and tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with ability to work as part of a project team.
- Eager to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary environment.
