The role of Finance Analyst will work closely with an experienced and talented CFO. As the monthly accounting function is performed by an outsourced resource, this role is truly analytical and ad hoc in nature. The purpose of the role is to be enable effective information to be available for commercial decision making for senior management.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Creating dynamic financial models on ad hoc basis to provide the SLT meaningful insights for decision making.
- Business Partner with stakeholders to develop/interpret financial models, forecasts and cost estimates.
- Analyse financial data to identify any risks or opportunities and areas for cost optimisation
- Create pricing infrastructure and automated models
- Create financial dashboards around KPI's for the SLT
- Create models for scenario analysis on financial performance around specific aspects of the operating units, with labour costs and optimization being fundamental to the operational bent of this business.
- Track costs to budget and report thereon and make recommendations for any correction action
- Conduct financial analysis of Business Unit performance, including identifying trends, patterns and opportunities
- Review the monthly accounts provided by third party provider, analysing performance and looking for opportunities.
- Other ad hoc analysis and data interrogation as required.
To be considered for this role we are looking for a Finance Analyst who can demonstrate the following capabilities:
- A strong accounting and commercial background, not necessarily CA/CPA
- An ability to work in an unstructured / ad hoc basis
- An enquiring mind where you can demonstrate a curious and inquisitive mindset to problem solve/find opportunities
- An ability to demonstrate previous experience where you can use your proactiveness to find solutions
- Strong excel and modelling skills
- Strong data analytics capability
- Proven modelling capability
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with Senior Execs.
