Tūmanako Me Whakapono Service - Māngere EastWe're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting others to live with dignity and purpose. This 10-bed residential service works alongside tāngata whaiora with high clinical needs, providing support in a community-based environment.In this role, you'll encourage participation in meaningful daily activities such as walks, arts and crafts, cooking, trips to the mall or cafés - helping build life skills and social connection.This is a 24/7 rotating roster position, which includes night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.He Kōrero Mōu | About YouWe're looking for compassionate individuals who want to apply their life and work experience in a role that supports people to live meaningful lives.You'll build positive, respectful relationships with tāngata whaiora and support them to develop daily living skills, build social connections, and participate in their communities.To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- A Level 4 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing, or a commitment to achieve this within 2 years
- Strong communication skills and a calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- An understanding of (or willingness to learn) tikanga Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and culturally responsive practice
- Basic computer literacy and confidence in using digital tools
- A full, clean New Zealand driver licence
- Pay Equity rates from $24.97 - $29.83 per hour (based on qualifications)
